We can all breathe a little easier and give our congratulations to Representative Steve Southerland, the greatest working man in Washington for our natural fishing rights. In spite of the environmentalists across the whole country that do not want any of us native fishermen to hurt those great fish in the Gulf we were able to reelect Representative Southerland.
Now let’s talk about fishing in that there will be very little offshore fishing in the Gulf for December due to the fact that we cannot bring home any red snapper, gag grouper or trigger fish and the weather may have a little bit to do with it also.
However, inshore fishing is just getting better and better. The speckled trout, red fish, pompano and whiting are really coming on strong and I expect it to remain this way for several months. Don’t forget to file a float plan, and let somebody know when you are going to return.
